Wabash Cannonball is an ashed goat milk cheese from @capriolegoatcheese. Can you see that the outside looks like a wrinkly brain? This is because of a geotricum rind – geotricum yeast provides a very gentle and slightly sweet flavor. Honored to represent our community of Cheesemongers as a judge alongside @mvoltaggio on The Food Network’s Alex vs. America for the episode on ?CHEESE! The first of 6 showings is tomorrow, 8/14 at 6pm pst. I’ve been watching The Food Network since it started in the early 90’s with @emeril when he was a one-man-show in Essence of Emeril (anyone else remember him yelling “yeah yeah” to his production crew ?). I had such a great time filming and I truly hope I represented our industry of Cheesemongers well!Talking about cheese and eating cheese is my most favorite thing in the world. I’m so nervous…but I hope they included my embarrassing reference to the movie Face Off ? and when I gestured the “chef’s kiss” with my hands to my lips . Tune in!
