We’ve been playing around this sandwich and have decided to “Milkfarm-ify” it a bit more, so we’re adding our fave @domsfoods Sundried Tomato Marcona Almond Pesto! We’re also loving it with a toast (it’s a whole lotta bread! ?). We have a lot of “Cheesemonger Favorites” cheeses that come in and out of the shop, and Dorstone from @nealsyarddairy is DEFINITELY on that list. This ash-ripened goat cheese is densely fudgy in texture, but bright and citrusy in flavor. Rosette d’Oregon from @olympiaprovisions is an incredibly exciting new offering in both flavor and story. This salami is a true representation of Oregon flavors, featuring Pinot Noir from the Willamette Valley, juniper, rosemary, & @jacobsensaltco sea salt. This is also one of the first offerings from the Olympia Provisions Farmers Network, which means the meat comes from environmentally regenerative, humanely-raised pork from small farms in the Pacific Northwest. Spring is just around the corner, so it’s time to start the transition into springtime wine! “Roccalina” from Ranchelle is in Italian, skin-contact, Zero/Zero white wine, which means this is a naturally fermented wine with nothing added or taken away (aka the “purest of the pure”). A few days ago, Leah was in Italy, specifically at @quattroportonicaseificio with all of the buffalos and their cheese. We are SO EXCITED to have received a wheel of Surfin’ Blu, a buffalo milk blue cheese washed in double IPA. Sam has been waiting for this cheese to arrive since his very first week at Milkfarm, over a year ago, so he’s especially stoked to see this cheese.
