Today, I wanted to recognize my small, yet mighty team. Starting from the top left going clockwise is Jim James (ask us how he got that name), Andrew, Alyssa, (me), Mara and Devra ??? I just wanted to publicly appreciate them for their hard work and perseverance over the past 4 months (and beyond) during the pandemic (that is still going on folks so please wear a mask and wash your hands!). I dont take for granted how lucky we are that we haven’t had to close our doors like many of our friends in the industry and I hope we ALL survive these uncertain times. Nevertheless, it has been a difficult roller coaster emotionally, mentally, and physically for my tiny team to keep Milkfarm alive day-to-day. I commend them for taking swift action and making necessary changes to ebb and flow with the demands of the business. From wearing a mask at work 10+ hours a day, walking upwards of 10 miles back and forth in the shop and to run curbside orders, washing our hands 100xs a day, answering the phones nonstop, listening to the constant ringing of Postmates, not to mention the constant alarm to remind us to sanitize the shop again, and again, and again for our safety and the safety of our customers….all while servicing in-store customers with a (masked) smile . They did it…and happily do it everyday. I’m really lucky to have this amazing crew right now. And to our loving customers: Thank you for supporting us and buying cheese ? while in quarantine, today, and in the days ahead…I hope that we are able to create a small sense of normalcy in this very un-normal moment in time. ?: A Christmas tradition in July.
