Old World vs. New World Cheese Class

School is officially in session! We are excited to announce our 1st class of the season which will be hosted by Tyson of Peterson Cheese Company. He works as a Cheese Specialist for the Peterson Company and his job is to connect cheese-eaters and cheesemakers world-wide. They work directly with specialty cheesemakers and affineurs, both in Europe and at home, to source the best cheeses they can get their hands on and develop new products for the US market.
Have you ever try our outstanding Comte or Roquefort (yes, there is a difference in brands, fruitiers and affineurs…you’ll learn about that too!)? He’s the man that gets it here! We will be comparing classic European cheeses, terrioir, cheesemaking techniques, and talk about some of the different factors that define some of these PDO classics compared to some American originals.
What: A guided tasting comparing Old World cheeses with their American New World counterparts.
