SUMMARY:Chocolate & Cheese Class and Pairing with Letterpress Chocolate
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our next class as we host Cory and David\, AWARD-winning Chocolatiers from Los Angeles. We are excited to announce that they just won a Good Food Award! \nIn our event\, Letterpress will be showing a slideshow presentation of the chocolate making process from harvesting on the farm to the final bar. Five chocolate varietals will be paired with five cheeses that love them. Learn about chocolate\, learn about cheese…and eat them all!\n*If you attended this event last year\, we are serving all different cheeses and chocolate varietals! \nWHEN: Sunday\, February 12th at 5:30pm\nCOST: $30 per person. Tickets can be purchased in person\, over the phone\, or on-line (for a small fee) at EVENTBRITE. \nLimited seating at our communal table. Beer and Wine will be available for purchase. \nMore about Letterpress Chocolate:\nWe handcraft our single origin chocolate in small batches\, starting with the best cacao beans we can find. We carefully sort and roast to bring out the fullest potential of the flavor profile. We grind in stone melangeurs for at least 48 hours before pouring into storage to age for at least a month. We do all this in our tiny factory in Los Angeles\, California. \nWe pay premium prices for our cacao\, working with sustainable agroforestry and biodiverse ecosystems so that we can have a brighter future. In many cases\, the farms and co-ops we work with are Organic certified. Our unrefined cane sugar is always Organic certified. We do not use soy\, wheat\, or dairy and all our bars are vegan friendly.

SUMMARY:The Science of Melting Cheese- Educational Class by Cristi of Springbrook Farm
DESCRIPTION:With all of the hype about Raclette Nights at Milkfarm…how could we not host a class about the Science of Melting Cheese?! Cristi from Spring Brook Farm (where we get our Raclette) will be teaching the class via slideshow presentation. She will go over the history of Raclette\, the science of melting cheese (yes\, not every cheese melts equally!)\, and touch up on Spring Brook Farm including why they are so special! We will also do a demonstration of how Raclette is scraped on our Raclette machine. \nAn evening about melting cheese should include a plate of Raclette. Each ticket to the class comes with Raclette in its raw cheese form\,  a mini plate of Raclette (potatoes w/the fixings\, cheese\, cornichons and dijon) and a pour of welcome wine! Additional beer and wine will be offered by the glass throughout the evening. \nTickets $30
