Meet the Maker(s) – Shacksbury Cider AND Spring Brook Farm
November 21 @ 11:00 am - 7:00 pmFREE
Double Trouble! Our buddies Luke (Shacksbury) and Cristi (Springbrook) are bringing Vermont-Love to Eagle Rock for all of your Thanksgiving needs! We will be hosting a FREE CIDER AND CHEESE tasting at our Cheese Bar.
Shacksbury: Far from ordinary, apples are the most diverse food plant on earth. Unfortunately, only a handful of varieties are cultivated at scale in America, and all of those are designed for eating, not cider making.
At Shacksbury, we believe cider can, and should, be daring and complex. From gnarled trees on New England farmsteads to Old World orchards in England and Spain, our cider will change the way you think about this amazing fruit.
Springbrook Farm: At Spring Brook Farm we make three kinds of cheese from our Jersey Cow milk. The first, is a semi-hard washed rind cheese called Tarentaise, named after the French Valley which inspired it. The second, is a semi-soft washed rind cheese called Reading, named after the town in which it is made. The third, is semi-soft washed rind cheese called Ashbrook, which was inspired by French Morbier style cheese.
Meet the Maker events are always FREE and OPEN TO ALL (…well, must be over 21 to drink hard cider).
